WORKSHOP ON PAROS ISL. GREECE

A SIX-DAY INTENSIVE WORKSHOP, AIMING TO HELP YOU DEEPLY IMPROVE YOUR WAY OF THINKING AND PRACTICING PHOTOGRAPHY

We will focus on the personal photographic practices of the participants and, through a thorough review of all the photographer’s means, we will discover the small wonders we can create in our photography through the art of visual improvisation and by breaking the narrow boundaries of “visual constructions”. Above all, however, the workshop is designed to provide practical tools and effective working methods to address any photographic issue, from concept stage to working method and editing.

This workshop is for advanced amateurs and medium to high level photographers, who know the basics and want to develop their photographic voice, need guidance in making better photos, forming their project, and finding their vision through a disciplined and focused way of working.

We invite you to take part in a fruitful and exciting five-day workshop on the beautiful island of Paros, Cyclades.

WORKSHOP FEE:
Including: coffee, tea and snacks during meetings.
Excluding: accommodation, travel, insurance, meal, dinner, taxes, personal or other on ground expenses.

Around the workshop place there are lots of accommodation options. The organizer will recommend cheap and suitable accommodation for 6 days.

— link to a personal website (please, no Flikr or Instagram accounts or Facebook albums).
If you don’t have a website, please attach a zip file with 20 – 25 photographs (jpg images, 1200px long side, 72dpi) and a personal statement.

Applicants will be selected on the quality of their portfolio and a first-come, first-served basis. Selected applicants will be contacted with payment details. After receiving full payment, registration will be finalized and participants will be contacted with venue details and directions, full workshop program, and any additional assistance.

Cancellations and refunds:
Should you withdraw from participation in the workshop up to July 20, half of the tuition fee will be refunded. After this limit, no refund can be made. The workshop may be canceled in the case of serious constrains. In such an unlikely event, a full refund of the paid fee will be made.

REQUIREMENTS:
The workshop is designed for photographers with understanding of the photographic process. You should arrive with working knowledge of your equipment and ready to shoot. Although analogue photography is welcome, it is recommended to use digital. Bring a digital slide show of your project that you are working on. During the critique and photo editing sessions we will use electronic equipment, so having your own laptop is required. You should be able to download, select, make minor corrections and export the images to a portable device on your own.
