Panos Kasimis is a freelance photographer of 38 years. He studied photography at the Royal College of Arts in London and has been a student of Chris Killip and Mary Ellen Mark.

He works worldwide on personal artistic projects resulting in books and exhibitions, as well as on assignments for magazines, institutions and independents. His work mainly explores social behaviour manifested through the physicality of human contact and behaviour towards the urban and natural environment, in a variety of ways.
Panos has had solo exhibitions in Athens, Rome, Juneau (Alaska, USA), Eindhoven (Holland), and participated in varius group exhibitions in London, Rome, Paris, Istanbul and Athens. His work has been published in numerous Greek and international publications and three books: “Days Away” (2009), “Urban Diaries” (2013) with a preface by world renowned photographer Larry Fink, and “Babylon” (2024).

Panos is also an experienced photography educator with a demonstrated history of working in the photography industry. He has given lectures to the Department of Communication and Mass Media of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Department of Photography and Audio-Visual Arts of the University of West Attica, as well as to many photographic clubs and artistic groups. His book “Depth of Field”, with essays and writings on photography was published in 2023.

Today he organizes and teaches photography workshops for photographers and advanced amateurs throughout Greece and Europe, while working on his
projects.

He lives and works between Athens (Greece) and Berlin (Germany).
